The Forgotten Cottage,

Documenting our Heritage

On my way back from exploring a 'Big House', I came across this cottage on the corner of the demense. Now if I stopped to photograph every derelict cottage I came across I'd never make it out of the county, but this place can only be described as something strange.

The road passing the cottage had been closed and bypassed by a dual carriageway, leaving the cottage completely forgotten and abandoned.

The cottage had an eerie feel to it.

It must be said I was not entirely comfortable exploring this house alone.
