The tower house to the left is 16th century, the rest of the castle was added by the Taylor family from 1802.

Empty Walls
The central part of the ‘castle’ is actually a three storey house built between two outer towers.
- this part of the structure is totally gutted.
The New Tower
Inside the right hand tower - constructed to balance the original tower house at the opposite end of the structure.
The Back Door?
Open to the elements
Little remains of the original house - we can still make out where fireplaces are doors once existed.

We exit to the rear of the castle and make some infrared pictures.
Walled Garden
This is the walled garden - another yard and stables are behind us.
