We continue to the next row of barracks which run along the west wall of the fort.
Coat hooks align along both walls.

Exploring the fort grounds there are many houses, sheds and workshops, all being covered by the undergrowth.

Abandoned Bombs
Back in the 1989 Cork County Council were going to make this fort into a military museum. It’s a shame nothing has happened and the place is falling to ruin. Why would such an impressive structure be left like this?
