Tober House
Co. Wicklow.
Documenting our Heritage
Tober House was built by the Power family around the year 1720.
The house was five bays at the front and initially two-storeys high over a basement. A third storey was added later. The remaining walls of the house are partly weather-slated with other sections rendered.
The house was destroyed by fire circa 1798, possibly during the 1798 rebellion.
In 2006 the ruined house with 271 acres was offered at auction with an advised minimum value of
Euro 5.5 million.
