The ‘Spirit’ House,

You never can tell with these places.. I'm always sceptical about any so called paranormal activity and usually find myself having a good chuckle at this sort of thing.. but you never know.. in my time exploring all these old ruined and abandoned houses I've come across more than a couple of strange goings on.

So after receiving a phone call about this house a couple of weeks back, I've just spent the morning chatting away to some locals and this place keeps being referred to as ‘The Spirit House’.

Apparently the haunting only started years after the place was abandoned and appears to have been initiated by something which was found stored in chests inside the old house. The ‘something’ was disturbed and then removed from the house. The locals seem unable or unwilling to tell me what ‘it’ was, who took ‘it’ or what happened to ‘it’.

One auld fella tells me the last people out at the house were some hill walkers who just came across the house by accident. Coming down the back hill and trekking through the forest they came across the house and went in for a look round. They were apparently chased out of the house by something in the shadows. One of the hill walkers apparently ended up spending some days in hospital.

One thing's for sure - nobody I speak to will go anywhere near this ‘Spirit House’

I'm not afraid of shadows but just to be on the safe side I slip a small crucifix into my camera bag and  head of alone to trek through the forest and find this place.
