A cottage has been tucked into the last remains of the castle walls.
The cottage also now derelict sprouts with trees and vines.

Just one tower of the castle remains standing - remains of the vast structure are still evident in the masonry rubble that litters the area.

The gable end of a cottage rests against an ancient piece of the castle wall.

Legend says the castle previously stood at over two acres.

I’d seen this pump shown on my early map.

There’s no handle - I’m unable to draw water.

The castle has an eyrie feeling.. at any second I’m half expecting the vampire ghost of Tadhg to appear.
