We trek up to Rathcoffey.

The first structure we come across is the remains of the original 13th Century castle gatehouse

We now move over to explore the mansion house built by Archibald Hamilton Rowan in 1784.

The mansion house structure is curious - it appears many changes have been incorporated over the years. We find at least three phases of construction. The mansion house was built around part of the 13th Century Rathcoffey castle which previously existed on the site.
