I’d left my copy of the first edition map showing the location of Old Abbey in the car.
That left me scanning the countryside for a good half hour before I eventually found the ruin.
It’s very over grown - almost impossible to see from any distance.
The ‘Black Hag’s Cell’ where tradition says the last abbess carried out her witchcraft.
