Lansdowne Park

Laois

Documenting our Heritage

Lansdowne Park is a large mainly 19th Century house which has been remodelled  on several occasions. The original structure appears to be based around an 18th Century gable ended, much smaller house.

The main front of the structure is 7 bays, 2 stories high with a single storey 3 bay break front featuring Doric pilasters.

The interior of Lansdowne park was described as ‘A rich gilded interior with Victorian niches and with a round headed scrolled chimney piece in the hall’
