I think I finally come across the foundations of a Turkish bath?

The pillared structures remind me of a Roman bath. Unfortunately the out of control laurel has covered the place in dense vines. It’s very gloomy in here and difficult to investigate properly.

Pushing on through the undergrowth, I find another Turkish bath

Happy that I’ve explored all that remains of Dr Barter’s Hydropathic Establishment, it’s time to pack up and head off. I leave this place just as I found it.

For anybody wanting to get into the Hydropathic spirit of things, I recommend the film

‘The road to Wellville’ staring Anthony Hopkins. Quite amusing!
