Located on the edge of the Old Boleys forest at Glencree.

The following tale was told to me by two ‘auld fellas’

‘You won’t find the house.. there’s a kind of spell on the place, we’ve looked for it once and it wasn’t where it should of been.. nobody can find that place and it shouldn’t be found’

I’m told the house fell into the hands of two brothers. One became a priest and found his calling working as a missionary in Africa. The second brother, a recluse, was never seen in the area during the hours of daylight. He was soon forgotten and the house along with him. The forest grew around the house surrounding it and there they stayed forgotten and hidden for decades.

It takes me the best part of a day to locate the ruin.
