This rig was used to practice loading shells.

Steps lead down to a tunnel under the barracks and on to the casemates.

There are two levels of firing positions - the gun loops look out over the

entrance way and bridge leading into the fort.

Moving on to the parade ground.
The discarded bomb like objects are actually floats which were used for mine sweeping.

The same parade ground, as it appeared in 1984.

These sleds were used to support machine guns.

Remains of the smiths shop, carpenters shop and store room.
