Heading down into the basement - it seems the fire which destroyed the rest of the house didn’t reach down here. Timber frames still surround the doorways and some windows still contain glass.
This door leads out to the yard at the rear of the house - the servants' entrance.
This is the original kitchen.
A strange mould covers the walls.
Heading back up to daylight I stop for a few more photographs.
Then pack up and head back across the fields
- leaving Clogher House just as I found it.
